SOF ISO Class 6: syllabus, paper pattern and sample questions
The SOF International Science Olympiad (formerly NSO) for Class 6 is a 60-minute paper of 50 questions for 60 marks in 3 sections. Every question has four options and one right answer. The last 5 questions are the Achievers Section, worth 3 marks each. Below: how the paper is set out, the 12 chapters it draws on, one sample question from each section with its answer, and how to practise it for free.
Paper pattern
ISO Class 6 is set out in 3 sections. Sprinto's mock tests and printed papers follow the same order, counts and marks.

Syllabus: the 12 chapters
Every question on the paper belongs to one of these chapters. On Sprinto's map each chapter is an island, and the Achievers Section is the same chapters asked harder — not a separate topic.

Sample questions with answers
One from each section, taken from Sprinto's own bank for ISO Class 6. In the app the numbers, names and figures are different every time; these are fixed so you can read them.
Sample 1 · Section 1: Logical Reasoning · Logical Reasoning
?Answer: (C)
Along each row the same figure turns a quarter more each time, so the last one has turned twice — 180°.
Sample 2 · Section 2: Science · A Journey through States of Water
Which change is this: a liquid is cooled until it turns into a solid?
Answer: (B) freezing
In freezing, a liquid is cooled until it turns into a solid. An example is water becoming ice in a freezer.
Sample 3 · Section 3: Achievers Section · Temperature and Its Measurement · Achievers difficulty
A beaker of very hot water is left standing in a cool room for a long time. Which graph shows the thermometer reading against time?
Answer: (C)
The reading falls quickly at first and then more slowly, until the water has cooled to the temperature of the room and stops falling.
How to practise ISO Class 6 on Sprinto
- One island per chapter. A hidden rating per chapter picks the next science question at the difficulty that is just hard enough today.
- Mistakes come back. Anything she gets wrong returns a few days later, then a week, then a month, until it stops being a mistake.
- Mock tests in the real shape. 50 questions, 3 sections, 60 minutes, marked the moment she hands it in.
- Papers you can print. A full ISO Class 6 paper with an OMR sheet, sat at the table with a pencil.
